Meet Our First Global Ambassador

How old are you and where are you from?

Hi, I'm Santiago. I'm 12 years old and I'm from Cancun QROO Mexico.

What do you want to be when you grow up and why?

When I grow up I want to be a neurosurgeon or a soccer player. Why soccer player? Because I like to play soccer and I want to be the best soccer player in the world someday or the best neurosurgeon in the world.

What do you want people to know about you?

I want you to know that I am a kind, loving and very friendly person, in my school everyone says that I am the best, but even I don't know that. I also know that there are too many goals in the life for each and everyone of us. For example, mine is to be a neurosurgeon. Every goal can be achieved by fighting every day.

How did you feel when Scrub Hub came to visit you?

When SCRUBHUB came to Cancun I felt nervous because I don't understand English very well. Some words yes, but not a hundred percent. The minutes passed and I started to make new friends and, even not knowing English. I was able to make new friends with my gift of making friends.

What excites you most about the future?

Colorful papel picado banners hanging over a street market with souvenir stalls, palm trees, and buildings, in a sunny, tropical setting.

I am very interested in my studies because I am 2 months away from going to high school which increases in degree of difficulty and because I want to be a great student in my community.
